Get Active – Start your own action project!

If the thought of a world without enough fish to feed people around the world, the injustice of unsustainable fishing practices on developing countries, not being able to find your favorite fish at the market, or any other reasons motivate you to get active, then you’ve landed on the right page!

Nelson Mandela once said, “it always seems impossible until its done.” Societal and environmental change can often feel like that. How can one individual really make a difference on a large scale? Well, the reality is that change doesn’t happen just by chance. It’s takes people of all ages, of all backgrounds, of all abilities – people like you or me, who stand up and say, “this is not okay!” I want to make a change. All great movements start with a small handful of people that get it started.

Margaret Mead recognized this when she said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”

So, indeed…what are you waiting for? Do what you can – you never know how it might change the world!
